Willow DockRumex salicifolius Description: This perennial may be prostrate or erect up to three feet in height. Leaves are narrow and up to twelve inches long. Flowers form clusters at the top of stalks. The flowers are white and the fruits are brown. Habitat: This plant is found in moist places throughout the western United States up to 12000 feet in elevation. Flowering Season: Flowers form from May to September. Comments: There are four varieties of R. salicifolius listed in The Jepson Desert Manual: denticulatus, lacustris, salicifolius, and triangulivalvis. DeDecker lists R. salicifolius and R. triangulivalvis as members of this genus that occur in Death Valley National Park.
