Description: This annual also goes by the names Long Beaked Twist Flower and Longbeak Fiddle Mustard. It may stand up to two feet tall. Flower petals are yellowish and the sepals are greenish, but the flowers could appear white in many cases. Seed pods are narrow and beak-like in appearance. The pods are two to three inches long.

Habitat: Streptanthella is found in sandy areas below 6000 feet in elevation throughout the desert southwest.

Flowering Season: Flowers form from March through May.

Comments: The plant specimens shown here were found at Panamint Dunes in March 2008.
